The Deutsche Bank Apprenticeship Programme:
Our Apprenticeship programme will provide you with formal training where you will be working in our day-to-day business as well as on special projects. You will build relationships and learn from IBCM professionals from across the organisation whilst gaining a Level 5 Certificate of Higher Education in Operational Management leading onto a Responsible Business Management BSc (Hons) from the University of Exeter, CMI Level 6 Diploma in Professional Management and Leadership Practice and CMI Chartered Manager status.

About the business division:
Discover the world of Business Management with a career in our Investment Banking Capital Markets (IBCM) COO team.
IBCM aims to build long-term, trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with the major corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors and sovereigns around the world. Delivering strategic advisory, supporting clients with public takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and equity offerings, leveraged and investment‑grade debt issuance, and a full suite of capital markets solutions.

About the role:
As an Apprentice Business Manager in our Investment Banking & Capital Markets COO team, you’ll play an important supporting role in how our business runs day‑to‑day. You’ll help us understand our clients, track how the business is performing, and keep key information organised so senior leaders can make good decisions. Your work will include helping with revenue reporting, monitoring our risk and cost levels, and keeping an eye on important limits the bank must operate within.

We’ll teach you how to work with data, understand how an investment bank operates, and support a busy team. You’ll get real responsibility from day one, work closely with experienced colleagues, and build skills that can open doors across the bank. If you like solving problems, staying organised, and being part of a team that keeps the business running smoothly, this role is a great place to start your career.

Division specifics about the apprentice role:
As an apprentice, you’ll be provided with the training, study support and on-the-job coaching to accelerate your career. With study support towards gaining a Level 5 Certificate of Higher Education in Operational Management leading onto a Responsible Business Management BSc (Hons) from the University of Exeter, skills, and technical financial training, along with introductions to Senior Leaders, you’ll be part of the team from day 1 with learning and development opportunities throughout your first year and beyond. Apprentices will also be supported by a mentor within the business, in addition to HR and their line manager.

You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later. Whichever path you take, by the end of your programme you’ll have the skills and experience to continue a long-term career with us.
