    • United Kingdom
  • City:
    • London
  • Job Description:
    • About the program:
The Deutsche Bank Internship Program is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You’ll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first-hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. You’ll feel supported by colleagues from across our business and start to develop your professional network.

      About the Division:
QRD is a newly established team within DB GSA. Its central mission is to empower the sales and trading functions with quantitative data-driven models and tools that leverage the latest developments in the AI/ML space. You will have the opportunity to use your strong foundational knowledge in deep learning and/or natural language processing to build solutions for the business which are both practical and innovative.

You’ll engage with colleagues in Front Office and other areas to develop novel, high impact AI solutions for their teams. These solutions will help service our clients better and further improve the efficiency of our sales and trading desks.

You’ll work with a team of seasoned experts to find data-driven solutions to challenging business problems, identifying suitable data and models, developing, and evaluating prototype models rapidly and helping to accelerate the adoption of solutions in production.

      About the role:
Our interns learn about our business through on the job experience, you will gain a significant understanding of the work we do, our team culture, and will develop your quantitative skills through real life application.

You may find yourself working on one large project for the entire internship or a series of smaller projects, much as you would do as a full-time member of the team. Get ready to use your quantitative and programming skills to provide impactful research and implement real solutions.

You’ll also be exposed to a fast-paced and agile culture giving you the opportunity to meet and engage with leaders across the organization.

      What we look for:
You must be studying a post-graduate specialist degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, engineering, physics, economics or finance

You will already have a record of outstanding academic achievement and you’re eager to continue learning at the same intensive rate. You’ll thrive on working in a highly collaborative environment with some of the best minds in banking.

Strong ground-up understanding of ML and AI models, from the fundamentals of machine learning to Deep Learning, with experience of its application in NLP or other domains.

An ability to break down complex business problems and address them with a range of models and techniques, with strong intuition around suitability and complexity, and related trade-offs.

Strong quantitative skills, e.g. statistics, probability theory, optimisation, linear algebra.

Good Python and associated ML ecosystem skills; an understanding of lower-level languages is a bonus.

An appreciation of different areas of finance and how they interact is useful. You will be comfortable interacting with stakeholders and colleagues across the bank.

Please note that to progress onto the final stage assessment, applicants will need to attend an in person technical test on a specified date and location which is not flexible. More details will be shared to the successful shortlisted candidates.

To be eligible for the 2026 UK Quant Internship programme you must:

As the programme is due to start between May 2026 and June 2026, this means you may still be studying when you join the programme.
